The Welsh town of Crickhowell is located in the county of Powys. Crug Hywel, an ancient hill fort, provided the inspiration for the town's name. The magnificent Crickhowell Castle, also called Alisby's Castle, dates back to the 12th century and offers breath-taking views of the Usk valley. St. Edmund's Church, which was constructed in the 14th century and is still in use today, is a close second in terms of architectural beauty. There are a variety of bars, eateries, retail establishments, and coffee shops in town. Located within Brecon Beacons National Park, visitors have quick and easy access to a wide variety of scenic and historic locations, as well as opportunities for rock climbing, water sports, mountain biking, and miles upon miles of hiking trails. A picture-perfect village nestled in a picturesque countryside.

The hosts were on hand to sort out any minor issues. The bedrooms were spacious and well furnished with a well presented bathroom. The open plan downstairs had plenty of comfortable furniture and a well equipped kitchen. Off the open plan was a utility room and a large shower room. For those travelling with dogs the rear garden is very secure with high fencing.

A stunning open plan living area with beautiful outdoor space. The bedrooms were so comfortable and brilliant to have two bathrooms, especially with children. We had a fabulous stay and can’t wait to come back soon!

The cosiness and privacy of the accommodation would be enhanced by a blind or curtain across the large window facing the lane. Hanging facilities in the bedrooms would be an advantage. More bowls or dishes for cooking would be helpful. The kitchen knives need sharpening.
