The village of Heyope is close to the popular town of Knighton, which occupies a unique position as part of the town is in Wales, and part in England – a truly unique character border town. Made famous by one of Owain Glyndwr’s most renowned victories against English invaders, it now warmly welcomes tourists from all over Europe and beyond. Steeped in history with sloping, winding streets, and 17th Century half-timbered houses, this is a great location for visiting Offa’s Dyke and the Glyndwr Way or exploring the beautiful and fascinating Teme Valley.
Throughout the year there are lively fairs celebrated, and all year round you will find an array of antique and gift shops, tea rooms, old inns, good food and friendly locals. Local attractions include Offas Dyke Heritage Centre, Powys Observatory with Planetarium Show, golf, clay pigeon shooting and coarse fishing. Due to its special location, the tourist attractions of Shropshire and mid Wales are all within easy driving distances, so you can visit the likes of Clun with its castle, Ludlow, Church Stretton and Longmynd.
Ironbridge Gorge, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth make great day trips, and over the border into Wales, you can enjoy Welshpool with its steam engine, canal and Powys Castle.
Occupying an enviable position in the village of Heyope, and overlooking the rolling countryside, this property is available to book with other detached holiday cottages (refs 30201, 30202, 30203, UK6399 & UK40389) all stand within their own grounds on a small exclusive site, each with a private hot tub, patio area and enclosed garden.

The water is from a spring, well or borehole, and not a mains supply.

Had a very peaceful stay in this lovely house. Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side but made it cosier to light the fire and play pool! Hot tub was great and we really enjoyed using it. Cottage facilities lacked a washing machine but overall we had everything else we needed for a short break. Bonus was no phone signal so we were truly peaceful. Wifi was good and we enjoyed watching the sheep, rabbits and kites outside. Thank you for a mini escape :)

I'll definitely be asking my daughter to try and find somewhere for holidays going forward. She found this gem after just asking her to make sure it was peaceful and had a hot-tub or something similar. What a location - nestled in a valley just on the outskirts of Heyop. The host, Diane, was lovely and always responded quickly to my queries - and there were plenty of suggested activities in the house paperwork. The house itself is lovely - loads of space and kept very clean. The pool table is a fantastic touch - was a boon when we decided to spend a day or two at 'home'. The hot-tub is also brilliant - clearly kept very clean and was great fun having a late night dip to star gaze in an area perfect for spotting shooting stars with hardly any light pollution. You're also just 15 minutes from the best Sunday dinner you'll ever have at the Radnorshire Arms in Beguildy. This stay is well worth your time and money.
