Maesgwyn is a well-received cottage offering a peaceful and scenic getaway. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and the added luxury of a hot tub. The property provides a comfortable stay with a warm welcome from attentive hosts. Its remote location is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking tranquillity.
Guests frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews highlighting the tidy and well-maintained environment. One isolated comment mentioned the need to wash dishes upon arrival, but this does not seem to be a common concern.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its tranquillity and stunning scenery. It is noted as remote, which is appreciated by those looking for a quiet retreat. However, the distance from supermarkets and the mention of a challenging access road in one review slightly affect the score.
The majority of guests find the property warm, comfortable, and well-suited for large groups, with special mentions of good sleep quality and a cosy atmosphere. A few minor suggestions for improvements in comfort are noted, but they do not detract significantly from the overall experience.
Facilities like the hot tub, well-equipped kitchen, and social spaces are frequently mentioned positives. Some reviews suggest maintenance issues, such as dishwasher problems and the need for new pans, which slightly lower the score.
The hosts are consistently described as thoughtful, providing a warm welcome and quick assistance. Several reviews mention the delightful touch of gifts such as flowers, eggs, and Prosecco. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, they are a kind gesture and may vary with each stay.

Well equipped kitchen. The owners were extremely helpful supplying us with potatoes when Tesco let us down on the delivery. That was the only issue we had all weekend and would definitely come back

Can't fault the hot tub whatever the weather. Glorious fire and the owners were so quick delivering more firewood when we needed it. Plenty of room for 6 adults, 3 children and a dog. Lovely treats left by the owners too. My only gripe was that the main bed mattress was rather uncomfortable but I'm probably a bit picky! Would definitely go again. We all had a fabulous time despite all the rain we had.

Outside cushions were left out and wet so we could nt use. We did try to dry but the were soaked on our arrival. No wardrobe/hanging rail in master b-room. Shower cubical in family bathroom very small and plenty of space to put a larger one in. Appreciate itâs a working farm but the level of flies even though doors were only opened when entering/exiting. Windows were not opened at sll. Door Screens would benefit highly. Unpleasant smell in snug. Could nt watch TV as signal poor. Info was excellent about local area and walks. Overall a good weekend away with joint families, playing games of an evening around the large family kitchen table.
