Outstanding open plan two storey lodge. Ground floor: Spacious lounge/kitchen/dining area. One twin (double by arrangement). Shower. First floor: One super king-size double with en suite bath with overhead shower. Paved patio. Outdoor hot tub.. Please note that your hot tub is refilled prior to your arrival in the interest of Health and Safety. Your hot tub may not be up to temperature on the first night of your holiday.
Please note babies must be included in the party total.

We spent a full week at this beautiful location, the lodge itself is in the best position of all the lodges, on top of the hill, you are not overlooked by anyone. It's also the best lodge for views over the rolling hills and the sheep fields behind. The kitchen is well equipped but some of the appliances are a little worn out, the coffee machine does not work at all and the washing machine cuts the power to the lodge if you decide to wash your towels (had to locate the switch board to turn back on). The oven is gas so everything cooks very quickly. Also, the wood burner is set on eco mode permanently so you can only have the fire on for 5 minutes at a time, the upstairs rooms also get very warm if you have the wood burner on. Be prepared for lots of blue bottle flies all of the time, they just kept coming which made cooking and preparing meals a challenge. All in all a beautiful place but not perfect.

5🌟 A stunning property. Well equipped with all the creature comforts of home. Toiletries in both bathrooms was a nice added touch. Excellent fixtures and fittings and good quality furniture throughout. Beds made up on arrival, towels and tea towels provided (although we brought our own). An exceptional self catering property and probably the best we as a family have ever stayed in to date. The hosts have done an incredible job in making Slate House Lodges what it is. A beautiful haven to rest, admire the views and unwind, especially in the hot tub watching the stars. A truly exceptional place!
