Guests say

The Old House receives glowing praise for its stunning views, peaceful rural setting, and welcoming hosts. Guests consistently highlight the immaculate cleanliness, spacious and comfortable interiors, and well-equipped facilities. The location is ideal for exploring local attractions, walking, and enjoying the tranquillity of the countryside. Hosts are frequently described as friendly and attentive, often going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. Occasional minor issues are mentioned, but overall, guests leave with fond memories and a strong desire to return.

Cleanliness is repeatedly described as exceptional, with many guests noting the cottage is spotless and immaculately presented. Only one minor issue with a freezer was mentioned, but this was an isolated comment among overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The location is universally praised for its breathtaking views, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions and walking trails. Guests appreciate the rural setting while still being close to the town of Llanidloes.

Guests find the cottage extremely comfortable, with cosy beds, a welcoming log burner, and spacious living areas. A single mention of lumpy pillows was noted, but this did not detract from the overall comfort experienced by most visitors.

The property is described as very well equipped, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Facilities such as the kitchen, bathrooms, and log burner are highly rated. One suggestion for more bathroom shelving and a minor freezer issue were the only small negatives.

Hosts are frequently commended for their warm welcomes, helpfulness, and thoughtful touches such as welcome trays and occasional gifts (e.g., champagne and chocolates). Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Very comfortable and peaceful stay. The house is lovely and the book of photos of the restoration work was impressive insight into the work to rebuild it. Thank you for an unforgettable family holiday.
