Llanidloes 3 miles. A beautifully converted property nestled in an elevated position, surrounded by the owner's working livestock farmland, with views over a sweeping valley across to the breathtaking Llyn Clywedog dam, 3 miles from the pretty market town of Llanidloes, and within easy driving distance of Llandrindod Wells. There are three bedrooms in this charming cottage, including a double with an en-suite. On the ground floor is a large well-equipped kitchen with breakfast area. This leads into a striking beamed sitting room with dining area, which has fantastic views across the valley where you can sit, relax and just soak up the scenery, or settle by the attractive woodburner, which heats the cottage during winter, whilst during the summer, solar panels help to reduce the carbon footprint of the cottage. If you are looking for some quiet time, why not curl up with a good book on the sofa in the large entrance hall, or in the study adjacent to the sitting room? Outside, you can enjoy amazing sights from the patio and the tranquillity of the valley view. The area is surrounded by stunning views and walks. At Llyn Clywedog Reservoir there are handfuls of walks for a stroll or the keen walker, also a Sailing Club & one of the top UK Trout Fisheries. The nearby Hafren Forest, that is home to the source of the River Severn. An amazing walk to the start off the famous River that is known as the longest in the UK & it starts in the hills above Llanidloes. Machynlleth and the coastal town of Aberystwyth are a short drive away. Alternatively, walk along the River Severn in Hafren Forest or explore the Cambrian Mountains. You are ideally placed to explore a wonderful variety of countryside; within 30 miles you can be enjoying the beaches of Cardigan Bay, exploring the Snowdonia Mountain Range, visiting the stunning Elan Valley or walking the undulating hills and visiting the historic towns in the Shropshire Hills AONB. Powis Castle is just 30 miles away, an imposing National Trust property near Welshpool. This is a perfect property for a celebration or quality time with family and friends, all whilst enjoying a stunning house in a glorious location, close to historic market towns.
