We had a lovely time and made the best of it as the house is situated in a beautiful spot with two pubs in walking distance as well as the castle ruins. However, the accommodation itself could be so much more as it is currently looking a little unloved. A new dart board with lighting would be good and some of the utensils/appliances need a little attention as mentioned in previous reviews. Cleaning definitely needs to be improved as the whole house was quite dusty/cobwebs and there was also lots of dog hair which set my son’s chest off. We couldn’t use the hot tub on the first evening which was disappointing when only there for the two nights. We were there as two families with teenage children so still had a great time, just a shame it’s not as good as it could be with a little more attention to detail.

We stayed here for Easter weekend 2026. Large, spacious house. Comfy good sized bedrooms with comfy beds. Nice location. A few areas could be improved on within the cottage; the garden needed a bit of TLC, grass was quite long when we stayed with some weeds present. Hot tub wasn’t very hot, luke warm which affected use. A lot of cobwebs in the building in multiple rooms, hair in shower and a lot of dust present. Kitchen equipment needs changing e.g broken scissors in draw, lacking some more utensils. Unable to use dart board as all the darts were broken. If some areas are improved, it would be a wonderful cottage. Overall we had a nice stay but could’ve been better if the few details mentioned were improved.

A lovely ,very spacious and comfortable accommodation, comfy beds ,loads of room to get together plus little rooms to do a bit of quiet time. My only criticism is there was no use able darts and pool table needs a new cloth as there was a couple of rips in it . Overall we had a lovely stay and would go back again .
