About this property
A luxury countryside lodge, adjacent to the owner's property, close to the popular bustling town of Rhayader and on the edge of the picturesque and wildlife rich Cambrian Mountains. The lodge has two bedrooms, one with en-suite facilities as well as a family bathroom. The galley style kitchen opens into the comfortable sitting room, with dining area and fantastic views across the garden to the mountain beyond. The enclosed lawned garden has a patio with an enticing hot tub, perfect for relaxing under the stars and impressive dark skies that the area is renowned for. I received a text from Claire on the morning we were due to check in to give us more informative details on how to get to the lodge - which we found without any problems! When we got into the lodge it was lovely, clean and even decorated with a Christmas tree for us! The kids were over the moon! A hamper was left for us with information about the lodge, the surrounding area and a few treats for us aswell. We quickly made ourselves at home and absolutely loved our stay! None of us wanted to leave on the morning of check out! It was a perfect home away from home! Anything we were unsure about, I dropped a message to Claire, who responded quickly and everything was great! The views from the lodge were beautiful! I loved my morning coffee looking out at the sheep behind the garden fence! We would definitely go back and stay again! Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

The setting was beautiful and the lodge was well equipped and clean. There was an issue with flies, kind of expected with being on a farm, however it means you are completely unable to utilise the bifold doors or have any windows open in the nice weather. There was an issue with us receiving a noise complaint which was fine if that was the case, we were enjoying a birthday and it was before 9pm, but the way it was handled was extremely rude and when messages were sent to try and clarify the issue these were completely ignored. We also werenât the only people making noise as another place was outside making noise until gone 11pm. Being a family run business we expected it to be a bit more welcoming but there wasnât even so much as a hello when we were spoken to. This is a real shame as we would have come back with family it wasnât for this.
