Thoughtful touches, such as Welsh cakes, were appreciated by some guests, though these are not guaranteed. Overall, the lodge provides a relaxing stay with a few areas for improvement.

Several guests found the lodge clean and comfortable, but others reported issues such as damp smells, dust, and missed cleaning details (e.g., under beds, windows, and pet marks).

The location was widely praised for its beauty, privacy, and proximity to excellent mountain walks, making it a highlight for most guests.

Guests frequently mentioned comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere, with only minor comments about space for larger dogs.

The lodge is well-equipped for self-catering, but some guests noted maintenance issues such as wet room drainage, missing grouting, poor WiFi, and occasional sewage smells.

Some guests received thoughtful touches like Welsh cakes, and owners were described as friendly and welcoming. However, such gifts are not guaranteed for all stays.

The location and owners were lovely, the cabin was lovely too but lacked a few essentials, a cloth to wipe sides and maybe a spray , a broom not all of us can bend down with a dust pan over the whole lodge, maybe when staying a week 2 bin bags, we found the cabin clean but not clean when you looked around. The outside table and chairs could have been cleaned as could of the windows, the doors had the last dogs lick marks over them, under the bed was someone's socks and a lot of dust around, I am being thorough, we also suffered a lot of flies so had to keep doors and windows shut during the hottest week. Had to buy fly spray to kill them all..There was also a horrible waste smell coming from the bathroom. I would visit again as great location and very handy too have a separate court area. The food from the hotel was lovely too. I would know what you bring next time

This was my first stay at Daffodil, we chose it for being dog friendly as we are new dog owners to our lovely Luna who absolutely loved it, she settled in as soon as she walked through the secret garden 🐕😉We really liked the Daffodil lodge, however, having a medium sized dog, we realised the next time we visit we will book in for a larger lodge for the space.I have to say Rachel was amazing on her service, very helpful and the food was good & wholesome.I would highly recommend staying at these various lodges 🙂
