Guests say

Bron Celyn Bach is a cosy and clean cottage in Betws-y-Coed, appreciated for its comfortable setting and thoughtful touches like a welcoming basket. While compact, it's well-equipped and situated in a tranquil location, ideal for couples or small families. Guests enjoy the proximity to local amenities and the area's natural beauty.

The cottage is consistently described as very clean, which suggests high standards of cleanliness are maintained.

The location is praised for being quiet, restful, and within walking distance to shops and pubs, making it a great starting point for exploring Snowdonia.

The cottage is considered comfortable, especially for two people, though some guests found the bed too soft and the space challenging for four adults or tall individuals.

The property is well-equipped but has limited storage and space, with some guests finding the bathroom small and the kitchen requiring stooping. Issues with dampness and mattress comfort were noted.

Guests were delighted by the welcoming touches such as a basket with local treats. However, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Loved having outside space and log burner to return 'home' to after a long day of walking Hosts were wonderful, and even let us know when the property was available for us to check in - which was earlier than expected, so that was a lovely bonus! The property is beautiful - decorated and styled in a modern way, without losing touch with it's heritage and history The only small issue I can see with this property ( And it's not an easy fix for the owners) is the damp/mould (which is bound to come with this size and age of property). It wasn't too much of an issue for us, but for example, if you have a mould allergy (my mum does) I would probably avoid this property in the wetter/damper months ( which unfortunately has been the whole year!)

We found the bed in the main bedroom to be too small and soft so pretty uncomfortable, edges of the mattress were particularly soft so felt like we would fall out of bed every time we moved. A firmer mattress would help. There was a problem with damp in the cottage - which the owner is clearly aware of and trying to mitigate with moisture absorbing remedies and a small dehumidifier but they're not really adequate. We were lucky to have dry, warm weather for our stay but still found anything paper felt damp. It would also be helpful to have one empty cupboard or at least a shelf to store food in the kitchen as, apart from the fridge, there was nowhere to store the small amount of food we brought so it was all on the kitchen counter and all week.

The property does look rather bigger in the photos and is only suitable for 2 people. The cottage would not be suitable for anyone with even slight mobility issues or someone who was of “large proportions”. Being tall was a bit of a challenge too as the kitchen, bathroom and stairs required a lot of stooping. A full length mirror would be useful in the cottage.
