Nant Y Crogwyn is a very much-loved family home that’s been adored by generations of the same family for many years. The cottage is detached and surrounded by countryside views, only a short drive away is the village shop and the welcoming local pub. Once inside you’ll be greeted by a homely cottage with traditional Welsh Cottage features. The kitchen area is fully equipped with everything you’ll need and there’s a separate dining area with ample space for all the family. The living area with warming wood burner is perfect to relax in front of on those chillier evenings, you might also want to try your hand at one of the vintage games on offer. A special place to relax and enjoy the views is the conservatory area, this is a truly wonderful spot to soak up the pace and tranquillity no matter the weather.
There are four comfortable bedrooms and two separate bathrooms, there is also the option of an air bed should this be required for an extra guest. The garden area is partially enclosed with outside seating and often has some horsey neighbours! There is also a low-level stream which is accessed through a gate at the side of the garden a lovely spot for a picnic with the children, please note this isn’t always available as it will depend on the animals grazing at the time. Please adhere to the countryside code. From the cottage you are only a few minutes away from the Penmachno Bike Trails, and further down the valley the famous Marin Bike Trails at Gwydir Forrest. Direct from the doorstep there are some breath-taking walks to enjoy. Betws Y Coed is just a short drive here there’s eateries, independent shops, golf and plenty more scenic walks. Beach 22 miles.

Village shop - There is a shop in the village for essentials, open 7.00 am to 7.00 pm. Gethin Square LL24 0UF just across from The Eagles pub

We had a lovely time and found the location to be very peaceful. We had a lovely chat to the farmer (not the owner) and overall - had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped but it was mising cooking oil and the place does have a hair dryer, even though the description omits it. I think the house needs some care - the windows are rotting away from the outside, a lot of the furniture, rugs and lampshades are stained or dirty, big tv (there are 3 in total) is broken. Would note, that in general, the house is clean. The internet is fast enough for streaming films, although there is no phone signal in the place. The house got nice and warm downstairs but a bit cold upstairs. There are gaps in the fence where a small dog can get through, so that people are aware. We also mised some curtains in the kitchen and the extension, since there are other people living in the farm. Overall, the positives outshone the negatives and we enjoyed ourselves with the view and the fire.

Cottage was beautiful and immaculate, the perfect place to relax. Only about a 30 min drive from Snowdon which we came to climb so really great location. The neighbours were so helpful and friendly and the happy corgies in the courtyard were a welcome perk!
