About this property

Aberdovey 1.2 miles. Located in an elevated position overlooking the sea, Stargazing is a splendid, detached lodge on the outskirts of Aberdovey, Gwynedd. Inside you'll find great attention to detail in the design, bringing plenty of character to the property, as well as essential self-catering amenities for a family of four's holiday by the coast. An on-site car park is located just down the hill from the lodge, but the trek up to the entrance is rewarded by truly breath-taking views; the site is a peaceful location, with Stargazing being in a prime position looking across the sparkling sea and rolling hills.

Step inside a light-filled, open-plan living space to spend quality time with your loved ones; brightly painted wooden walls compliment the country-style kitchen, where you can prepare beach picnics and home-cooked meals, to be served at the dining table for four. Admire the views from the cushioned sofas thanks to the large windows framing the beautiful views and curl up with a book, or choose from a selection of board games or watch the wall-mounted TV. Follow a day at the beach with a refreshing rinse in the shower room, with a spacious walk-in shower, heated towel rail and a washing machine smartly tucked away behind a curtain to chuck in beach towels.

Retire to one of two bedrooms, a king-size or a twin, with windows to wake up to the sea in the distance; the rooms have been thoughtfully decorated with quirky, beach-themed art and stylish hanging space. Start the day with a seat on the front decking, paired with a hot cup of tea, whilst you plan the day's adventures. Inside the outdoor storage, you'll find crab fishing equipment for a day out in Aberdovey; head to the sandy beach, choose from a variety of eateries and admire the relaxed atmosphere of the picturesque village, known as 'an artist's paradise'. Why not pack your clubs and play at the famed Aberdovey Golf Club? Take a short journey north to Tywyn for a ride on the world-famous Talyllyn Steam Railway, whilst the kids will love Tywyn Leisure Park and strolling along the seafront with an ice cream.

To the east lies Machynlleth home to a historic town clock and Museum of Modern Art, whilst outdoor adventurers have a whole host of attractions to choose from! The lodge rests in the southern region of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park for trekking up the peaks of Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy, or marvelling at Dolgoch Waterfall. However you choose to spend your holiday by the sea, choose Stargazing for a memorable retreat.

Aberdovey is known for its moderate temperature, sandy beaches, sailing, and a championship 18-hole links golf course. The village is known as "an artist's paradise" because of its peaceful, inviting ambiance. Aberdovey is home to some of Britain's best beaches, with four miles of golden sand-dune-backed beachfront stretching north to Tywyn, home of the world-famous Talyllyn Steam Railway and crab fishing. Sunbathers, swimmers, surfers, and fishermen flock to the beaches, while the estuary attracts a diverse group of watersports enthusiasts.

Property had a well equipped kitchen, was clean & tastefully decorated, just as represented in photos. A short steep climb from car park to property so not suitable for someone with mobility issues. View was lovely.

On arriving I never wanted to leave. The views are outstanding and the perfect backdrop to our peaceful stay. The chalet itself had everything we needed and I loved the decor. I Ioved Aberdovey and swimming in the river at low tide and long walks on the sand were heaven. I really couldn't have been happier all round. Thank you so much.. Would highly recommend and hope that I can return soon for more of everything this gorgeous place has to offer.
