Situated near to the village of Llanuwchllyn and just three miles from Lake Bala, this lovely North Wales cottage has masses of character features and provides very homely accommodation for families and groups of friends. At this cottage near Bala, there are three delightful first floor bedrooms and a family bathroom. On the ground floor is a spacious farmhouse kitchen with a comfy sofa and a warming woodburning stove, so you can chat with members of your party as you prepare a tasty dinner. The large sitting room is home to another fabulous woodburning stove set in an inglenook fireplace and is a superb spot to relax and talk over the days adventures. The garden at this Welsh cottage runs to three quarters of an acre and is a wonderful space to sit with a morning cup of coffee as you plan the day’s activities. Wander the grounds and discover the little stream at the rear of the cottage, from where you can also catch a glimpse of Bala Lake in the distance. Llanuwchllyn is a home to a shop and a pub, and is the starting point of the Bala Lake Railway, a narrow gauge track which runs for nine miles along the shores of the lake. Bala has a wide range of local amenities including cafes and restaurants and is the leading watersports location in this part of North Wales. Try your hand at kayaking, windsurfing or sailing, or if you prefer your holiday on dry land, why not indulge in some mountain biking at one of the many centres nearby. If you prefer your holiday to be a little more leisurely, there are many historic and fascinating places to visit in this part of North Wales, before you return to your wonderful Bala holiday cottage to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings.

Situated just five miles from the popular town of Bala, the traditional Welsh village of Llanuwchllyn is located at the southern end of Bala Lake - the largest natural body of water in Wales. With a shop, petrol station and pub serving excellent food, the village is best known as the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway, offering a nine mile scenic journey along the lakeside. The town of Bala is close by and is renowned as a centre for water sports such as fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and white water rafting. Within the town itself, visitors can enjoy a range of interesting shops, inns, restaurants and an historical town walk, whilst the Berwyn mountain range offers great walking, cycling and other outdoor activities within easy reach.
