Guests say

Brig-Y-Don offers stunning sea views and spacious accommodation, making it ideal for family gatherings and those seeking a scenic getaway near Barmouth. Guests particularly appreciate the large lounge and kitchen with beautiful bay windows, as well as the easy access to the beach. The host is noted for being helpful and responsive. However, some guests have raised concerns about cleanliness, maintenance, and access, especially for those with limited mobility. The property would benefit from some updates, but its location and views remain standout features.

Several guests reported issues with cleanliness, including dust, cobwebs, mould, and unclean bathrooms and kitchen. However, not all reviews mentioned this, and some guests did not raise any concerns.

The property is praised for its stunning sea views, proximity to the beach, and easy access to Barmouth. Some mention the steep path to the beach, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Guests found the house spacious and comfortable, with large bedrooms and living areas. However, there were some concerns about the condition of mattresses and accessibility for those with limited mobility.

The house offers good space and amenities, but some guests noted maintenance issues such as broken taps, missing slabs, and tired decor. The presence of a shepherd's hut and hot tub in the garden, available to others, affected privacy for some.

The host is described as very helpful and responsive to queries and problems. While no gifts were mentioned, guests appreciated the attentive service, though gifts cannot be guaranteed.

Had a fantastic Christmas with parents. The house is a great size, large lounge with picture windows to the sea, large kitchen diner, again with two fantastic bay windows overlooking the garden and sea. The bedrooms were a great size, 2 en-suite and a separate massive bathroom for the third (or for sharing as the bath is amazing). A short walk down to the sea, but beware the path is quite steep from the garden down and of course, you have to walk up. Fine if you have good mobility but was difficult for my parents who have a walking stick and are in their 80's. However, nice drive in to Barmouth and parking was good. Would highly recommend. Neil, the owner, was there for any queries and was incredibly responsive. We will definitely be returning.
