Rhosmair is a much-loved cottage in Barmouth, praised for its breathtaking sea views, peaceful setting, and easy access to both the beach and town. Guests frequently mention the spacious, comfortable bedrooms and the calming sound of the sea. Many appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs and the opportunity to spot dolphins from the garden. While some furnishings and kitchen facilities are noted as needing updates, the overall experience is highly positive, with guests returning multiple times and recommending the property for a relaxing coastal getaway.
Guests consistently describe the property as lovely and well-presented, with no significant complaints about cleanliness. The positive tone and repeat visits suggest a good standard is maintained.
The location is universally praised for its stunning views, proximity to the beach, and peaceful atmosphere. The only minor note is that the walk back from the beach can be steep, but this does not detract from the overall appeal.
The bedrooms and beds are described as very comfortable, and the house is spacious. However, several guests mention that the lounge furniture is uncomfortable and could benefit from updating, which slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is generally well-equipped, with hot water and basic supplies provided. Some guests note that certain furnishings and the kitchen are showing signs of wear and could use refreshing, but improvements are reportedly underway.
Many guests mention receiving welcome packs with items like milk, cake, and eggs, which are much appreciated. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, future guests should not expect them as standard.

Amazing cosy stay in your beautiful home. Everyone of us slept well and the sound of the sea was very calming.View was amazing and twice we had the privilege of watching the dolphins from the garden. Walk to the beach was easy, coming back was a killer on the legs but after few days you get used to it. Welcome basket much appreciated.I cant say enough about how wonderfully relaxing it was.

This was our second stay at Rhosmair and the views from the patio are beautiful.I believe the kitchen refurb will have now started and look forward to seeing the new look.I am wondering if additional hanging space could be added to the second bedroom as there seems to be a locked cupboard in the corner? Also bigger drawers in that room like in the main and twin rooms would be great. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again in the future

Firstly, thank you to the owners for the welcome food package, very kind and much appreciated. The directions to the property refer to a ‘BT’ telephone box in a lay-by adjacent to the property. There is NO phone box anymore so missed the location in both directions. The view was spectacular and the garden private. If you have a bad back there is no comfortable seating in the living area. The ‘short’ walk into Barmouth is for the fit and young, we used the car. The beds were comfy and the water was always hot, all in all a pleasant stay.
