The pretty town centre is only a 10-minute walk downhill from this Dolgellau cottage offering a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants.
This Dolgellau cottage is a perfect base from which to explore the beautiful National Park and stunning coastline. The Dolgellau holiday accommodation is close to a golf course, is 5 minutes from the start of the Mawddach bike trail at Cader Idris and only 3 miles from the renowned mountain bike centre at Coed-y-Brenin. It is also less than 10 miles from the lovely beaches at Barmouth and Fairbourne.

We loved the views to Cadair Idris changed with the weather and we were lucky enough to see new lambs in the field at the back. The upside down layout really made the most of the views. The cottage had everything we needed including a hairdryer that wasnât on the listing. Downstairs the walls are so thick we couldnât hear the storm that rolled through. The only slight downside was that the beds were much firmer than we are used to so it wouldâve been good to have mattress toppers available.

It has all the cooking equipment you need if you fancy a night in. The only thing I think that needs addressing is the slowness of the Amazon Stick when streaming anything on the TV.

Check in was easy, and the owners are close by. Amazing views of Dogellau and the mountains to the front, and views of fields and sheep to the rear. Dogellau is a lovely little town, with all the amenities just down the hill. We did some amazing walks from the cottage. We will definitely think about staying again.
