Set on an 850-acre hill farm within the Snowdonia National Park, and surrounded by rolling landscapes, this holiday property is a fantastic, pet-friendly choice for a romantic stay in North Wales. Enter upon an open-plan living area, which has a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table for two people, and a sitting area with a plush sofa, a Smart TV, and ceiling-mounted Bluetooth speakers. This charming little market town is situated in southern Snowdonia, halfway between the sea and the massive Cader Idris mountain range. It's a fantastic home base for a vacation, ideal for combining the many outdoor activities available in Snowdonia with leisurely days at Barmouth, Fairbourne, and Aberdovey's soft sand beaches. The town itself has a good assortment of stores, five pubs, a wine bar, as well as many top-notch cafes, restaurants, and bakeries that daily produce fresh bread and pastries. Dolgellau is said to have the highest concentration of listed buildings in all of Wales, with over 200 of them, and it has been classified as a "cycling break centre," with a number of specific cycle routes running through the town. The pod was lovely and clean, it had everything in it we couldâve needed. It was a good size for the two of us and our dog. Beautiful walks all around us, shops and a great beach just a short drive away. The hot tub was lovely, we used it every night and loved the fact it was so quiet that all you could hear was the stream next to the pod. Would love to visit again, weâve come away so relaxed. Thank you!

having the river at the bottom through another gate was also a surprise and delight. owners were so friendly and helpful. the only feedback I could give really would maybe to have a little curtain on window behind the bed.

If you have a dog they have so much space to play outside and our retriever loved jumping into the stream looking for sticks. Itâs all fenced off perfectly so they canât run off and you can relax. The pod is very well kept and makes for a cosy stay. The owners are truly on hand for anything you need. The hot tub is lush once hot but it takes a lot of effort to heat. We had to put logs in every 5/10 mins and relight many times. We made the effort thought and used it the first two days. The last night we didnât get in due to trying for 2 hours and finding the water still only just warming (it was very cold outside so maybe why) All in all will definitely look to return in the summer, we had a great weekend here
