    Great location, very comfortable with excellent facilities. The hosts were friendly, considerate and helpful. Definitely recommend.

    We were very pleased with the accommodation, which was finished to a high standard with modern facilities. 2 person cottages are often very small but we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the kitchen which was quite spacious and the lounge area was plenty big enough. The bedroom is a little tight at the sides of the bed, but we expected that from the pictures and it was not a problem. The owners, who live in the house above, were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for walking the Wales Coast Path using the train to travel between endpoints; the nearest station is 2 minutes walk away. We walked from Aberdovey to Porthmadog over 6 days using the train each time. The pub in the village, the Ysgethin Inn is excellent as is the nearby Dylan's restaurant. Overall, highly recommended.

    The apartment was clean, modern and the homeowners were lovely and very helpful. However I was very disappointed to find out when we got there that, even though it is advertised as “pet friendly accommodation”, there was a list of rules we had to follow in regards to the dog. Dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture, in the bedroom or to be left alone in the apartment. I feel if we knew this when viewing the accommodation, we probably wouldn’t have booked. Our dog comes everywhere with us, so that isn’t an issue, however most people allow their dogs on the sofa, if not the bed, so this would be difficult for most people to keep their dogs off the sofa, like it was for us. I don’t feel we were as comfortable as we could have been because of this. I think this should be made aware to people before they book, I.e in the description for the apartment. It also isn’t advertised that the apartment is underneath the homeowners house, so unfortunately there was quite a lot of referred noise to the downstairs apartment. The apartment was in a lovely location, around a 5 minute drive into Barmouth. I feel like the kitchen was lacking supplies in terms of staples, such as sugar, salt or pepper.
