Providing a great base from which to enjoy this famous coastline and fabulous surrounding countryside, this impressive Barmouth cottage offers hill and coastal walks, wonderful beaches, watersports, golf, the medieval castle at Harlech and the beautiful Snowdonia mountains. The village of Tal-y-Bont sits just next to a Blue Flag beach on the lovely north Wales coastline. The village has shops, a restaurant and a pub, and makes a great base for a family beach holiday. The village is set between two extremely popular resorts, Barmouth and Harlech, making it ideal for enjoying the benefits of the area yet being based away from the main tourist crowds. Barmouth has an enormous beach and plenty of shops, pubs and eateries, while Harlech is famed for its beach, castle and golf course. A great base for all of North Wales.

Shop 3 miles , pub and bistro restaurant 10 mins walk.
Rural award-winning beach 10 mins walk.
Note: Within a 5 minute walk there is a restaurant/bistro which is available all year.
There is also an arcade, entertainment lounge, Ice cream parlour, fish & chip take away, convenience store which is available from April - October.

Someone came see to it in our absence but we still couldn't get it to lock. An obvious security issue.The "complementary" loaf of bread was mouldy and well past its sell-by date. There was long, black hair on the wall of one ensuite shower. The round plastic washing up bowl wouldn't fit in the square sink and was therefore useless. There were no small sharp knives and the large ones were blunt with no means of sharpening them. There was no soap or working dispenser in every bathroom. No dishcloth or scourer in kitchen. No cafetiere. Not all bedrooms had bins. This was our third visit to this lovely property rather spoilt by this list of easily fixable issues. It should be 4/5 stars otherwise.

! The setting around the farmhouse is peaceful, beautiful! The house was very comfortable, tho an extra seat in living would have been useful for the 9 of us! Beds were very comfy and rooms clean, lovely!! The WiFi could have been better!

The furnishings and decoration were great and the bathrooms and en suites as good as we've ever experienced, very spacious and with great Baths and showers. The Hot Tub, and close proximity of the Holiday park facilities , swimming Pool, Softplay, amusements etc meant even when weather not at its best there was always things for Kids to do. We all had a great stay and would definitely return.
