Set above a lovely daytime café, you will have the option to just nip downstairs to purchase a home cooked breakfast, you can also via prior arrangement order a home cooked takeaway evening meal or a packed lunch for your days out. Blaenau Ffestiniog is a historic mining town, best known for being the slate capital of the world, having recently been awarded the acclaimed unesco World Heritage Site. The area is a mecca for any outdoor enthusiasts, with bike trails, climbing, kayaking, and walking routes in abundance. Only a few minutes away is Llechwedd Slate Caverns/Zip World; a great day out for the kids and adults alike.
You’re only a short drive from Betws Y Coed, known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Also, within easy reach is Porthmadog; home to the Welsh Highland Railway and the famous Black Rock Sands, and Harlech is also only a short drive away, also a unesco World Heritage Site, with its imposing castle and simply stunning beaches it is well worth a visit. You will certainly not be short of sights to see and places to visit in this diverse area. Beach 13 miles.

Positives : great location right next to the station and surrounded by the beautiful mountains. Right in the centre of the town and Ive never met so many friendly and helpful locals 10/10. Not much in the small town but the fish and chip shop acros the road and cafe next door to it top tier! Big Co op acros the road! Self check in was super easy, keys a bit stiff but you work it out. But dont know why check in has to be at 4pm if its selfespecially if the house is ready before that time ️ Negatives: The cleanlines unfortunately was not it. While the flat was really cute and accurate to photos. We did a lot of self cleaning on arrival e.g., scrapping mold off bathroom wall. Cleaning hair out of the bath. Luckily being 3 of us there was lots of spare blankets which worked out well as the sofas were manky lots of stains so we covered them. And the pink room the duvet and pillows did not look washed. The one kitchen towel also smelt of sick felt bad drying the dishes.

While the bathroom was modern and the location was beautiful and convenient, our stay was unfortunately affected by several maintenance and cleanlines problems. A few amenities were not working, including the air fryer and the iron. Cleanlines was a major concern: the bed sheets in the bunk bed room had hairs on them, requiring us to wash them ourselves before use and the bathroom mats were dirty and need replacing. We also noticed cobwebs in both bedrooms and the washing machine was filthy.
