Please note: There are 8 steps in the garden.. Once inside Summerhill, you’re greeted by an open-plan living and kitchen area, with comfy seating and breakfast area. There’s a separate utility with all the essentials, this may be a cosy cottage but you certainly will be well-equipped with all your home comforts and conveniences. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a double and a single, with plush mattresses to ensure a restful nights sleep, on this floor there is also a modern walk-in shower room. To the rear is cottage-style garden with seating, there are a few steps to reach the seating area.
The area is a Mecca for any outdoor enthusiasts, with bike trails, climbing, kayaking and walking routes in abundance. Only a few minutes away is Llechwedd slate caverns/Zip World; a great day out for the kids and adults alike. You’re only a short drive from Betws-y-Coed, known as the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park. Also within easy reach is Porthmadog; home to the Welsh Highland Railway and the famous Black Rock Sands. Just down the coast is Harlech - a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site, with its imposing castle and simply stunning beach and dunes, a must visit whilst in the area.
Coed Y Brenin Forest Park is under 20 minutes’ drive, this was Britain’s first purpose-built mountain biking centre and it is still one of the sport’s top destinations, with various trails suitable for all abilities. You’ll certainly not be short of sights to see and things to do in this diverse area. Beach 13 miles.

Perfect 👌. If I could leave it at that I would but a full review is always better. David couldn't be a better host, I say host because he is available for any questions and always has an answer, is happy to help especially with recommendations on where to go including dining.The cotrage itself has a parking spot off road right in front. It is limited but I drive a medium sized SUV and had no problems parking at all. Keys are locked in an easy to use keysafe at the front door. The cottage was cleaned to a high standard and cozy with two double settees and an armchair downstairs. The heating is perfect and keeps the whole cottage warm but for extra warmth there is a log burner as well, I used it just because I could, loved it. Everything you could think of is supplied, saucepans, crockery and cutlery is plentiful. A dishwasher and washing machine are available and also items for cleaning ie hoover etc. I can't think of anything that wasnt there, but Im sure if something was recommended it would be there for the next visitors. There is a small dining table big enough for three and if the weather is kind, table and chairs so you can eat and drink outside.There is a double and a single bedroom, I used the double and the bed was comfy with as you would expect crisp clean bedding. There is plenty of storage space for clothing. Towels are supplied and the bathroom was well laid out with a spacious, hot shower. I went walking most days and when finished I knew I had a lovely cottage to come back to. I can't thank David, Theresa & Conor enough, it was as previously stated PERFECT!!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage near Snowdonia. The place is full of character, cosy and warm, and equipped with everything you could posibly need. We especially loved the wood burner, which made our evenings feel extra snug after long days out exploring. The location is fantasticpeaceful, quiet, and absolutely perfect for anyone who enjoys hiking or spending time in nature. It felt like the ideal base for discovering the beauty of the area. David, the host, was incredibly welcoming. He greeted us with delicious cakes and was very communicative throughout our stay, sharing plenty of helpful tips and great recommendations for places to eat nearby. We couldnt have asked for a better experience and would happily return!

Beautiful location with scenic views. The cottage is well equipped and cozy. It was a great base for exploring the area. The utility room was handy for drying out wet clothing after a day out. We would stay again!
