About this property

Offering traditional accommodation but with all the mod cons you’d expect from a holiday home, Bwthyn Nain Cottage near Harlech in North Wales dates back to the nineteenth century and boasts some of the most breathtaking views you’ll see anywhere. Watch the seasons change from the windows which take in rolling countryside, dramatic mountains and captivating coastline; in fact, who needs TV when you have the views from Bwthyn Nain Cottage? The open-plan living space is hugely welcoming with comfy seating arranged in front of a gorgeous woodburning stove; somewhere you can imagine hanging out a lot while you’re on holdiay here.

There is also a TV if you want to catch up on your favourite programmes. The kitchen is surprisingly contemporary with everything needed to create delicious food for your guests and when it’s time to serve up, you can make the most of the peace and quiet of this setting and look forward to long, leisurely meals together. The gardens are a treat with a patio area, lawns and a summerhouse with games ready to keep guests entertained. At bedtime, choose from a king and a super-king bedroom with an additional bedroom able to cater for an extra adult and child.

There is nowhere better to wake up and after a refreshing bath or shower and a slurp of your coffee, it’s time to get out and about exploring. There are loads of walks and trails from the front door and the local beaches are nearby with the towns of Harlech, Conwy and Criccieth all worth checking out. Snowdonia is within a short drive and attractions such as Ffestiniog Welsh Highland Railway and Portmeirion well worth a visit. For a break that offers countryside, beaches and mountains, views to die for and accommodation of a high standard, you can’t beat Bwthyn Nain Cottage.

Situated in a magnificent position between the mountains and the sea, the delightful small town of Harlech is dominated by its majestic 13th century castle. Harlech Castle is recognised as the most impressive of all those built in North Wales by Edward I and has World Heritage status. The town is very popular with golfers, who come to enjoy the famous Royal St. Davids course, whilst the beautiful sandy beach is wonderful for family fun and long walks. Harlech offers an excellent variety of amenities including some good quality restaurants, whilst the whole of the Snowdonia National Park, together with the sandy beaches of Cardigan Bay, are all within easy reach.
