Tryfar House is a charming cottage in Harlech, appreciated for its good-sized bedrooms, cosy atmosphere, and central heating. Its location up a hill near the castle offers a quaint and peaceful setting, though parking can be challenging. Guests have noted the property's character and cleanliness, with a welcoming touch of daffodils on arrival. Some concerns were raised about maintenance and cleanliness in certain areas, but overall, the cottage provides a great base to explore North Wales.
Guests have had mixed experiences with cleanliness. Some found the cottage to be clean, while others reported issues such as mould, rust, and unwashed utensils, suggesting a need for better upkeep.
The cottage's location is praised for its charm and proximity to Harlech Castle. However, the narrow access road and challenging parking situation have been noted as inconveniences.
The property is described as cosy and comfortable, with good central heating and comfy beds. However, some guests found the living room furnishings slightly uncomfortable, and the space can feel tight with four people.
Facilities have been a point of contention, with guests mentioning a lack of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, and parking as advertised. The property requires attention to detail and better maintenance.
While the presence of daffodils on arrival was a thoughtful touch, there is insufficient information to assess overall thoughtfulness consistently. As such, we cannot guarantee such gestures for future guests.

There were no toilet rolls in the bathroom, after a 3.5 hour drive I had to get back into the car and find a store to get toilet roll. There are black spot mould patches in the master bedroom. There isn't a parking allocation for a car. It is park as close as you can to the front of the property so others can squeeze by. Thus ruling the front door out of use. The information folder was hidden away under a pile of table mats. There were no dishwasher tablets for use. This is a location where I would suggest that you have to have a reasonable level of mobility and fitness should be advised as the property is on a 20% slope.
