The area has some of the most spectacular landscapes in Wales, offering a wealth of attractions.   From the village, there are waymarked walks, and the lovely Llew Coch (Red Lion) serves traditional pub meals.   Snowdon itself is approximately an hour’s drive away.  Cader Idris is more local. 

For the more active, there are graded mountain bike trails from the Coed y Brenin visitor centre.    Several zip wires are available for the more adventurous!  Steam railways, castles and lakes to explore.   Bala Lake is very family-friendly, with kayaks, sailboards etc for hire.   Corris Craft Centre and Arthur’. . .
