Alternatively, freshen up in the ground-floor bathroom and head to your chosen bedroom, opting for either a ground-floor king-size, a double or a twin to rest your head in preparation for another day of exciting exploration. In the morning, take time to uncover the surrounding area and wonders of Wales. The market town of Dolgellau is just a short drive away, home to a selection of independent shops and eateries, as well as the historic Dolgellau Gold Centre.

The small market town of Machynlleth sits amid the rolling hills of Mid Wales. The streets of the town spread out from the 19th Century clock tower, and offer a good mix of specialist shops, pubs, and cafes, in addition to the regular street markets held every Wednesday. The town boasts two art galleries, and is home to the Museum of Modern Arts, Wales, which showcases the work of a variety of international artists, as well as staging concerts and lectures in its 400 seater auditorium. Just ten miles from the coast, Machynlleth is also ideally placed for taking advantage of superb walking, riding, fishing and rock climbing available in the area.
