If I was booking this holiday without dogs it would have scored a 4, however for a cottage that claims to be dog friend this could not be further from the truth. The housekeeping pack had 4 pages in it stating dogs are not allowed either upstairs or in any of the bedrooms. Some people will have this as standard in their homes but we don’t so we ended up sleeping separately in the downstairs rooms, with the doors cracked open so the dogs could still see us. Finally on the dog front most of the garden has been fenced off but there are gaps in the gate by the main road and a small wall that my small jack russel could have gotten over into the neighbours garden had she have been off lead. Luckily no livestock in the adjacent fields whilst we were there or she would have been more determined. This is a dog tolerant accommodation, not dog friendly. That being said if you are looking for a location with walks off your doorstep and a lovely pub within a 5 minute walk then this ticks those boxes.
