About this property

Nestling in a beautiful rural location, Y Nyth is an exceptional shepherd’s hut residing near Cowbridge in Glamorgan and offers the opportunity for staying somewhere truly unique, making it perfect for couples of a small family looking for something a bit different. The use of natural woods and picture windows throughout help to create a really natural ambience and a feeling of being at one with nature from the beautiful outside seating area to the woodland views. You can imagine firing up the barbecue, looking up at the starry skies and listening to the sounds of nature all around and really relaxing into the rural idyll that is Y Nyth.

Inside, the accommodation is compact but immaculately presented with a small seating area making the most of the views, a tiny but well-equipped kitchen area and the icing on the cake, the gorgeous bed area with a double bed nestling below an elevated bunk bed, perfect for the kids. The sleek and stylish shower room completes the accommodation. Y Nyth is in a great location for exploring so make sure you get to the beaches at Monknash, Llantwit and Dunraven Bay and check out Cowbridge and Barry Island with its amusements and you can do a day out to Cardiff from here, too.

For a stay that offers a rural idyll in beautiful surroundings, Y Nyth is truly unbeatable.

The vibrant market town of Cowbridge lies in the Vale of Glamorgan and was crowned The Sunday Times' 'Best Place to Live in Wales' in 2017. The town boasts an incredible high street lined with quaint cafés, independent shops, vintage traders, and a gorgeous choice of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, and bars throughout, as well as a host of local attractions including the Grade II listed St Quentin's Castle, the historic Cowbridge Physic Garden, and Grade I listed St Senwyr's Church. The coastal village of Southerndown is just a scenic drive away for a glorious day at the beach, whilst the hustle and bustle of Cardiff city centre rest further afield, with its incredible castle, notable bay, National Museum, the Wales Millennium Centre, and Principality Stadium. Cowbridge is a lovely spot to enjoy a classic Welsh getaway with the coast, country, and cities in sight.
