  In need of TLC!

  There was ants everywhere when we arrived. They were on the kitchen work surfaces and floor. Later on when sitting on the sofa there was ants there too. Not ideal but some ant cleaner on hand would have helped to keep the pests at bay. The kettle was in need of a good descaling and some of the plates and cutlery needing cleaning before use. There was a couple plates that have chips in them...maybe replace them or throw them away. There was plenty plates and glassware for everyone to use. In the downstairs bedroom the shower dripped for some time after use. Whenever the water was running, there was a loud noise coming from, the pump, the noise came on frequently and it was difficult to sleep as the noise could be heard in all of the bedrooms. This noise come on throughout the day and was rather loud and irritating. There was holes in the walls from where previous people had stayed and the doors have swung open...maybe invest in some door stoppers. Whole place could do with a lick of paint. Living room furniture, and bedroom furniture, was different to what is in the images...listing needs updating. Outside at the back of the property there was workers there each day, so privacy was limited. Maybe put up a fence or some screening or even move the hot tub so that you would feel some privacy. The back garden had a toy and some half eaten pastry left on the floor. There was also post (letters) addressed to the property all over the garden. We were allowed in 45minutes earlier than expected which was kind. The property was a 15/20 minute drive from some lovely parks with enjoyable walks for the dog. Overall an okay stay.

  We stayed here for 3 nights for my boyfriends 22nd birthday, there was 11 of us in total.

  As this occasion was a surprise, a couple of friends checked in slightly earlier to set up decorations and pack the food away. Rav, the owner was very accommodating and communications were great! Rav sent the key collection details across straight away. We loved the location of the house and the style of the house. The house was very clean and modern with an open plan living room and huge sofa. The TV in the front room had netflix and youtube which was very useful. We loved the decor and the camera wall! The hot tub was lovely, however on the first night the water had dropped below the jets so on Saturday morning the water was 22 degrees. I messaged Rav and within the hour he got back to me and sent someone out on the afternoon to fix the hot tub. By the time we all had some food and played games, we were able to go in the hot tub and it was a lovely 40 degrees!The location was great, we got 3 ubers to Lincoln centre and went to a few pubs and bars. This was by far one of the best nights! There was also a variety of takeaway restaurants that you could order from, which was ideal! The only downfalls we could think of was that there was nothing on the booking description to say that there was a curfew of 22:00 for music and use of the hot tub. On the day of arrival, i received a text about the rules and i was very surprised to see that there was curfews considering i read through the booking description and nothing was mentioned about curfews. The only other downfall was that there was no spare toilet rolls and no first aid kit. Apart from this, we had an amazing weekend and we would definitely recommend! Thanks Rav x

  We all loved the place and location, perfect for our girly weekend to celebrate a special birthday.

  A big thank you for the welcome wine & chocolates, lovely surprise. The place was spotlessly clean, which is so important. Feel there are some very simple improvements that could be made though. Hooks on doors or anywhere, entrance way, bedrooms & bathrooms to hang towels, coats etc. Mirrors downstairs in the small bedroom & in the hallway area near plug sockets. An extra key for the patio doors in the lounge/kitchen diner, there was only one. Some basic cleaning products plus a cloth, making it easier & to encourage guests to keep it clean. Food wastage bin. An information folder would have been good and lastly most of the party weren't happy about having to strip the beds. As a fellow holiday accommodation owner I know this had to be introduced in Covid but I think revert back if you can & put the information back in now & charge any extra cost to guests. And the very last thing a few sachets of tea, coffee & sugar. We brought everything but forgot the sugar so on the first morning a couple of people were disappointed. Overall these are are all very minor things but do enhance the guests stay especially the hooks. We had a wonderful stay & even the weather behaved itself so we were able to make good use of the hot tub, Sauna & take in the beautiful views and area.   We had a really wonderful stay at Moortown House for an extended family gathering for my husbands 50th.

  The property was exactly as listed with plenty of space and a little old fashioned grandeur but super homely and welcoming. The kids (of all ages) loved the pool!, which was always warm (despite traditional British weather). The tennis court and kids play area were also fantastic, with a football net, climbing frame, slide and plenty of space to run around. The little onsite lake and local walks from the door were beautiful; loads of wildlife bees (more varieties than we’ve ever seen!), rabbits, foxes, a huge variety of birds and if you look really closely some tiny fish in the lake. There was much to do we didn’t even get around to using the hot tub or fire pit! The local fishing was great with a few options of fisheries within a 15 minute drive and we enjoyed a day trip to Horncastle with its mtiple antique shops (and there is a cracking sewing/fabric shop). The house was well equipped, beds comfy and enough seating for the whole family of 10. The kitchen was great too with plenty of crockery a huge fridge and freezer, plenty of pans and serving dishes and storage for your shopping. The owners took great care of us, checking we had everything and bringing us honey from their beehives. We would really recommend Moortown House and would love to return for the next big family get together.

  Our reported minor problems were resolved quickly by Steve, Thankyou.

  However be aware only one toilet in the house with bath and shower (albeit a lovely big one!). Also it's location downstairs is problematic during the night for youngsters and the less able bodied. Plenty of gadgets, games and gimmicks (incl sauna and hot tub). Good location on North end of Skegness. Be aware of adjacent main road noise for all bedrooms. Great Garden for children and pet dogs. Good WiFi and fabulous TV. However, more seating is required if more than 5 persons watching it. Be aware no clothes storage in main bedroom. Some drawers in second king-size bedroom, most storage in children's room where large wardrobe is situated. Great kitchen, great appliances and cooker. However we found on warm-hot days newly hatched flying bugs welcomed us home in the kitchen inside the patio door. Overall 4/5 for us.
