A narrow sandy beach awaits around a 10-minute downhill walk via a dusty path and road (you could also drive, although it’s an unmade track - locals often opt to park and walk). Here, clear waters invite swimming or snorkelling by the rocks, while the beach is perfect for sunbathing (don’t forget your parasol for shade and picnic). The surrounding coastline is scattered with other wild spots and idyllic beaches – we especially love Plage de la Tonnara (16.5km) and the iconic crescent of Roccapina (20km), offering a calmer alternative to southern Corsica’s more frequented shores near Porto Vecchio.
Essential amenities can be found in the nearby village just 4.5km away, home to two small supermarkets and a couple of places to eat for a taste of local life. From there, the region opens up to Corsica’s most celebrated sights. Bonifacio (24km), with its dramatic clifftop citadel and lively marina, makes for a memorable day trip, as do boat excursions to the crystalline coves of the Lavezzi Islands. A little further, Porto Vecchio (32km) offers charming old-town streets and world-famous beaches like Palombaggia and Santa Giulia, best visited in the quieter months.
