About this property

Just beyond the medieval village of Thézan-les-Béziers, Maison Soulette is a relaxed and welcoming holiday home, perfect for sunny holidays in the heart of the Languedoc. With its garden, shaded dining terrace and generously sized heated pool, this detached home offers the ideal setting for long lunches, splashing afternoons and warm balmy evenings.

Inside, the house is thoughtfully arranged over three floors, with the attractive living and dining space opening out to the terrace. Prepare breakfast in the modern kitchen or gather in the spacious lounge, complete with TV and Wii console. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms accommodate up to 10 guests, including two en suite doubles, one twin, one family bathroom and a top-floor en suite bedroom with two sets of bunk-beds.

Days drift by beside the 10-metre heated pool or under the pergola with a chilled glass of local wine. Meals can be enjoyed outdoors, with a barbecue and large outdoor table inviting slow al-fresco dining. A table tennis set offers friendly competition, and gated parking adds ease for days exploring by car.

Located in a residential area, Maison Soulette is a short walk from village life. Thézan-les-Béziers offers a bakery, a twice-weekly traditional market and the popular restaurant La Carte Timbrée, all tucked within its medieval maze of streets. Larger supermarkets and a wider range of restaurants can be found just a short drive away.

Whether heading inland to canoe the River Orb or down to the Mediterranean beaches just 25 minutes away, the region is full of discovery. From cycling beside the Canal du Midi to vineyard tastings and dramatic national park hikes, the area promises something for every pace of holiday.

In a residential setting on the edge of Thézan-lès-Béziers, Maison Soulette offers a great base from which to explore the Languedoc landscapes and charming villages of southern France, only 25km from Béziers Cap d'Agde Airport.

Only 400m on foot, this traditional Languedoc village, with its 9th-century church at the centre of concentric cobbled streets, offers a true taste of rural life. Guests can meander through narrow alleyways to find a local bakery, newsagent and grocery store, or dine at the much-loved La Carte Timbrée. The village comes alive with summer festivals and hosts a lively twice-weekly market, perfect for discovering regional produce and local wines straight from the surrounding vineyards.

Just five minutes away by car lies Murviel-lès-Béziers (3km), a neighbouring hilltop village with ancient roots and welcoming cafés. For those drawn to the outdoors, the nearby River Orb offers pristine waters for swimming and canoeing, backed by the dramatic landscapes of the Languedoc.

A short drive further brings hikers to the famed Gorges d’Héric, a spectacular ravine ideal for walking, wild swimming or simply admiring the views. For those looking to explore on two wheels or at a more leisurely pace, the tree-lined Canal du Midi offers picturesque paths and peaceful waterside cafés from Béziers to Capestang and beyond.

The bustling city of Béziers, just 11km south, provides a lively contrast with its Roman heritage, cathedral views and thriving markets, while Pézenas, around half an hour away, delights visitors with its artisan shops, antique markets and historic Saturday morning market.

Meanwhile, wine enthusiasts will be spoiled for choice, with countless Languedoc vineyards nearby, offering tastings and cellar-door sales in charming wine villages scattered throughout the region.

For a change of pace, the Mediterranean beckons just 25 minutes away. Valras-Plage (26km) offers a classic seaside escape, complete with sandy beaches, water sports, and relaxed waterfront dining.
