Lefkada’s west coast is particularly known for its beaches and coastal scenery. Kathisma Beach is one of the closest larger beaches, while Egremni and Porto Katsiki can be reached by car for day trips. The elevated landscape around Kalamitsi also offers wide sea views and attractive sunset scenery.
A car is recommended for exploring the area, as many beaches, villages and attractions are spread across the island. Lefkada Town, with its wider choice of restaurants, shops and waterfront cafés, can also be visited for a change of pace.
