Villa Micromeria is located in the south of Rhodes in the wonderful resort of Gennadi. You can literally walk to the end of the garden and stroll on golden sands, watching beautiful sun rises and mesmerising sunsets. Gennadi holidays are relaxed, laid-back and all about living like a local. This ancient fishing village is very charming with narrow streets and traditional tavernas. Gennadi’s beach spreads for miles either side of the village. It offers a wonderful array of watersports and some fantastic beach bars. Gennadi is just thirty minutes from the whitewashed town of Lindos which is overlooked by its famous hilltop Acropolis. The ruins tell the story of the island’s past with remains from the Roman era, an ancient Greek temple and a castle built by the medieval knights of St John. Lindos is very pretty and full of unique jewellery and handicraft shops, boutiques and vibrant bars. The UNESCO Old Town of Rhodes is an hour away at the other end of the island but should not be missed.
Guests staying at Villa Micromeria enjoy access to the ground and first floors. There is also an externally accessed lower ground floor that is used by the discreet housekeeper and her husband. The upper floor can also be reached via an exterior staircase from the terrace. Villa Micromeria has been beautifully designed with relaxation and entertainment in mind. It comes with a superb terrace and pool, an excellent upper balcony and a wonderful roof terrace with a jacuzzi. Guests are truly spoilt for choice at Villa Micromeria. The first floor balcony is beautifully furnished too. The first floor living space enjoys floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to this balcony where you can enjoy your morning coffee or breakfast. The ground floor terrace is brilliantly organised with shaded alfresco dining, an excellent outdoor barbecue and outdoor kitchen area where your barbecue masters will have a ball, a beautiful landscaped garden, loungers, a hammock and a stunning pool. There is a sun drenched alfresco lounge space, another hot tub and glorious sea views. You can always find a shaded or sunny space in this villa and if you are looking for tranquility, you can head to the roof top or another of the quiet spaces.
The ground floor living space is open plan in design and, like the whole villa, minimalist in styling. Two sumptuous sofas sit beside the feature fireplace with use of a smart television and speakers so that you can listen to your favourite music. A smart dining table and chairs enjoys a lovely garden view and the chef’s dream of a kitchen enjoys the very best appliances and a sociable island with stools. Two gorgeous double bedrooms are located on the ground floor, both with super quality kingsize beds adorned with crisp cottons and delightful soft furnishings. They share a very smart, immaculate black and white shower room.
The first floor is home to another, equality attractive living space, three bedrooms and another family shower room. The living space is designed in a similar fashion with glossy kitchen units, an island and stools, comfy sofas and a dining table. It opens to a wonderful, furnished balcony where you can enjoy the views and sunsets. All three bedrooms on the first floor offer sumptuous kingsize beds and either garden or pool and sea views. Every space is simply, yet brilliantly kitted out. There are televisions in the bedrooms and gorgeous, marbled floors throughout. The family bathroom is contemporary and very striking.

Villa Micromeria enjoys a sensational beachfront position in Gennadi village. In the south of Rhodes, this location is excellent and very chilled. Gennadi boasts a wonderful selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The village is very friendly and offers an excellent sand and pebble beach. You will find a mix of contemporary, modern villas set against traditional Greek tavernas.
Lindos is one of the island’s prettiest towns, all dazzling white and hints of blue. It is within easy reach, overlooked by its famous Acropolis which should not be missed. You can hitch a ride to the top of the town on the back of a donkey. The gorgeous narrow streets of Lindos feature charming shops and bars plus an excellent dining scene. With a stunning beach, Lindos is a seaside gem.
The wonderful Old Town of Rhodes sits at the far north of the island with its fabulous churches left by the Byzantines and a gorgeous harbour that was once the site of the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You will discover an intricate warren of busy little commercial streets and delightful, quiet alleys. It is the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe. The Old Town is full of Byzantine and Gothic churches, medieval buildings, mosques, traditional fountains, oriental motifs and many boutique shops and restaurants. The highlights of the Old Town are the Palace of the Grand Masters, the Archaeological Museum housed in the Gothic building of the Great Hospital of the Knights, The Street of the Knights and some of its stunning mosques.
Koskinou sits twenty minutes south of the Old Town, famous for its beautifully painted, colourful houses and its summer festival on 17 July celebrating the name day of St Marina with music and dancing. Visitors enjoy delicious traditional cuisine in the local tavernas as well as yummy local wines. Koskinou is an exciting labyrinth of tiny, winding, cobblestone streets with fabulous splashes of red, blue, yellow, green, pink and turquoise. The facades, doors and windows of the 17th and 18th century neoclassical houses are bright and cheerful, many with carved or etched designs. Small patios and gardens complete the pretty picture. Many of the whitewashed squares are draped in colourful bougainvillea and other flowers. Kosinou enjoys an interesting history since the 4th century AD. Its 13th century medieval castle and the chapels built in the 4th century are worth visiting.
Another Rhodes wonder, Kallithea, is situated against a setting of world famous spa baths and stunning beaches on the eastern coast of Rhodes. Its gorgeous inlets and coves are sprinkled with sculptured rocks and caves. Diving and snorkeling are very popular as well as the other watersports on offer. The Kallithea Spa was built in 1920 by the Italians. Following its restoration, the spa is a top sight. Many guests visit the area for its crystal clear azure waters and magical scenery.
Faliraki Beach is the most popular and most highly organised beach in Rhodes. It is more than 5km wide and offers fine golden sand, trendy beach bars, sun loungers and parasols, just about every watersport imaginable and even bungee jumping. The nightlife is incredible with fabulous restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The Faliraki Water Park is fantastic fun and a very popular excursion for families.
