Guests say

Guests have had a delightful experience at The Old White Cottage, praising its comfortable furnishings, tranquil location, and the attentive nature of the hosts, John and Jacinta. The property's rural charm and well-equipped kitchen are frequently mentioned, along with the quality of the bedding and the peacefulness of the surroundings. While there are some minor maintenance issues noted, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction and a desire to return.

The cottage is generally described as clean and well-kept, with several guests noting the cleanliness upon arrival. There are a few isolated comments about needing to clean certain areas, such as the fridge, but these do not seem to be widespread concerns.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and rural setting, offering a peaceful retreat with beautiful countryside views. It is also appreciated for being a good base for exploring Wicklow and Wexford, with easy access to local attractions and walks.

Many reviews highlight the comfort of the cottage, especially the quality of the mattresses and the cosy living space. The twin beds and the wood burner are mentioned as particularly comfortable features, contributing to the homely feel of the property.

The facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen and entertainment options like TV with Netflix, are well-received. However, some guests have reported maintenance issues with shower doors, cupboard knobs, and outdoor furniture, suggesting room for improvement.

While many guests mention receiving welcome gifts and appreciate the thoughtfulness of the hosts, there is not enough information to guarantee such gestures for future guests. The reviews reflect that these kind touches are at the discretion of the hosts and may vary.

There was a welcome basket upon arrival. The cottage was clean with plenty of cleaning bits and bobs in the cupboards in case you've forgotten anything. Owner was available if you needed anything (we didn't) Great base to explore the surrounding area, plenty of places and attractions to visit that are a short distance drive. Hope to visit again, thank you!
