Situated on County Kerry’s Iveragh Peninsula, this six-person cottage in Sneem Leisure Village sits just at the River Sneem estuary and within easy walking distance to the colourful town of Sneem. Ireland’s southwest coast just begs to be explored with its rugged coastline and lush green hills, making 5 Sneem Leisure Village an ideal base for families who love to explore. On the outside, this two-storey cottage has a dedicated parking space in front with ample street parking around the complex. Your own private paved deck with wooden fence lies just off the ground floor living area – a perfect place for alfresco dining on a warm, sunny day – and communal lawns are dotted around the leisure village.
Just inside the front door is an enclosed porch, perfect for storing coats and shoes. Off to your left, you have a living-cum-dining room with table seating for six, sofas, an open fire, plus two French doors that open onto the patio letting in plenty of light. Just off of the living space is a galley-style fitted kitchen with all the mod cons. At the back is a bonus utility room with washing machine and dryer, plus a separate door leading to the outside. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom with basin and WC, plus a double bedroom with a TV and en-suite shower room, suitable for some guests with mobility issues.
And with a whopping four toilets in this property, surely no one will be caught out waiting to use the loo! Upstairs, find a further two bedrooms; one double bedroom, a family bathroom and a further bedroom containing two twin beds with its own en-suite shower room. As for activities, the popular Ring of Kerry Road takes you around the entire peninsula highlighting historical and geographical landmarks, of which you can go on your own or book a tour. Local points of interest include Sneem Sculpture Park (0.5 miles) and Sneem Coral Beach (7.6 miles by car). For families with children, there is a play park only a short walk away and Blueberry Hill Farm (0.9 miles by car or foot) offers a petting zoo, plus crafting and educational experiences.
Sneem in County Kerry is a village with shop, pubs and tea rooms, set between the popular towns of Kenmare and Waterville. Famed for its bright buildings and lively atmosphere, Sneem is frequented by tourists and locals alike, and is a often used as a stop by travellers completing the ‘Ring of Kerry' route. Kenmare, 17 miles away, has a beautiful coastal landscape surrounding it, and amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Whether venturing up Macgillicuddy Reeks or exploring the Killarney National Park, Sneem makes a great holiday base.

Easy to find way around house. Took me a few minutes to work out how to open key box. Would stay here again.

Such beautiful views of the river and mountains. The fresh air and water is so refreshing just around the corner from the play area for my toddler, we were lucky we had amazing weather for the 5days we were here. Nice sized kitchen and rooms in the house, although one of the showers wasnt working, apart from that we had the perfect holiday

Sabrina v kindly came with some the next day but ones over sinks did not work. Other feedback is double bed upstairs very uncomfortable. But generally house was superb and really clean. We had a lovely stay and would come back. Wifi excellent and view beautiful. Proximity to the playground, river walk and town brilliant.
