Tipperary 8.1 miles. Enjoying a lovely rural position in the village of Cappawhite in County Tipperary is Kilbeg, a large detached house ideal for a family or four couples. Boasting five bedrooms all with en-suites, Kilbeg is perfect for outdoor adventures across Tipperary and Limerick. Enjoy coming together in the large kitchen/diner, with seating near the cooking area so you can keep the chef company as they fire up the range and make use of the excellent appliances here. After gathering at the dining table for a fabulous feast, retreat to one of the sitting rooms, choosing to continue the conversation over wine or put on a film for a cosy night.

To complete the ground floor is a double bedroom with it's own en-suite bath/shower room. Enjoy friendly competition with games in the games room on the second floor where you'll find a pool table, magnetic dart board and a football table, great for adults and kids alike! Also on the first floor are 4 lovely bedrooms, comprising of three double bedrooms and a zip/link twin, all with the benefit of an en-suite shower room. Spend time out in the large garden in the warmer months, with plenty of space for family games and fun in the sun. The nearest shop is just under two miles away whilst bars and pubs can be found in the surrounding area, with plenty of choice whether seeking delicious pub grub or a lively Irish atmosphere.

For keen golfers there are a few golf courses to enjoy including Ballykisteen Golf and Country Club and Tipperary Golf Club. For a good day out try horse racing at Tipperary Racecourse and Limerick Race course which both have family days. If this then gets you interested you can try horse riding yourself at Tipperary Mountain Trekking Centre. Head to Cashel to visit the amazing preserved medieval buildings at Rock of Cashel, a limestone hill home to a collection of ruins. Venture into the countryside for walks through plenty of different terrains from woodland to country lanes, or discover more attractions nearby including Cahir Castle, Mitchelstown Cave, and Carey's Castle as well as Bunratty Castle where you can have a tour of the castle and there is a traditional folk park as well as medieval banquets which are great fun.

Tipperary town lies in the county of the same name and is arguably one of the most well known towns in the world thanks to the wartime classic song. Outside the centre there is plenty of walking and cycling opportunities, while the town holds many pubs and bars to enjoy, along with shops and local businesses. The popular tourist spot of Cashel is within easy reach to see the Rock of Cashel, a limestone hill with preserved medieval buildings.

    The hot water for showers in the mornings was often a problem, some having to have a cold shower. Any issues raised were quickly dealt with by the owner. Lovely neighbours next door who provided us with fresh produce from his market garden and also gave us good tips on places to visit. A very enjoyable stay.
