About this property

True to its name, The Cosy Outlook is a warm, spacious, and welcoming retreat where comfort, stunning views, and quality time come together. Set in the peaceful lakeside community of Kuratau, this family-friendly holiday home enjoys an elevated position with sweeping views of the surrounding countryside and hills, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing escape.

Step inside and you'll find a bright, open-plan living space designed for easy holiday living. Gather around the dining table for long family meals, curl up with a good book beside the wood burner on cooler evenings, or simply sink into the couch and enjoy spending time with your favourite people. The generous layout means everyone has room to spread out, making this an excellent choice for families and groups looking to unwind together.

One of the standout features is the expansive deck, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the peaceful outlook, fire up the BBQ on sunny afternoons, or watch the colours change across the hills as the day draws to a close. Whether you're planning a summer adventure or a cosy winter getaway, this outdoor space is sure to become a favourite gathering spot.

Kuratau is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere and easy access to the southern end of Lake Taupō. Spend your days boating, fishing, swimming, hiking nearby trails, or exploring the natural beauty of the Central Plateau before returning home to comfort and warmth.

With its spacious design, cosy feel, and picturesque outlook, The Cosy Outlook offers everything you need for a memorable Kuratau escape. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or simply a place to reconnect with family and friends, you'll feel right at home from the moment you arrive.

On the opposite side of the lake to Taupo, Kuratau is a small peaceful town with plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Spend the day out on the water with kayaks, boats and water skis, or go fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Tongariro River. Being further away from the bustle of Taupo, it's also an ideal location for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all. All of our Kuratau holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
