The open-plan living space is warm and inviting, centred around a charming wood-burning stove that sets the tone for cosy evenings in. The cabin is exceptionally well equipped, with everything you’d expect to find at home, making it the ideal base from which to explore and then truly unwind.
The main bedroom is a real highlight, with beautiful forest views that make it especially perfect for a romantic break. A cleverly designed cupboard space reveals bunk beds — a delightful sleeping nook that children will love. And upstairs, a charming loft room with two single beds provides a little more space for the whole family.
Step outside and the rural setting truly comes into its own. Gather around the central fire pit, fire up the outdoor pizza oven or your own private BBQ, challenge the family to table tennis, or let the little ones loose on the goal posts — there’s something for everyone.
The cabin is accessed via a quiet gravel track from the main farm, and benefits from direct access to the Avon Valley Path — a scenic long-distance route stretching from Christchurch all the way to Salisbury. Whether you’re a keen walker, a wildlife enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates a stunning view, the location delivers in abundance. The farmhouse is just a seven-minute walk away and is home to a collection of beautifully converted farm buildings, holiday cottages and facilities including electric car chargers.

Great little cabin, well equipped, comfortable and clean, few outside hitches but they were corrected quickly by the owner, The cabin is right out in the sticks, although we were in the middle of a heatwave we had the most peaceful few days, in the morning and evenings it was so quiet you could here a pin drop, we loved looking out for the resident Buzzard out hunting each day, we saw some dear, squirrels and pheasants so lots of wildlife to see, would recommend for sure.

The cabin really made our stay. The location on the farm was really secluded with just one other cabin close by but still far enough away to have your own privacy. The cabin was spotless and felt really clean and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook in and we were left teabags, sugar, coffee and milk which was a great touch. Everything was thought of and it allowed us to not worry about anything meaning we could just enjoy the holiday. The cabin was lovely to come back to after a day out exploring with the children, sitting outside enjoying a drink and watching the sun set. A great location to see the new forest and Sammy, the host, was easily reachable.

Oak Cabin has everything you would want for a comfortable relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.We brought our dogs and found it a great location for exploring the forest.had a lovely time and will definitley be back.
