Lovely stone cottage in a very quiet hamlet surrounded by countryside. We were disappointed that the promised ‘village pub just outside the garden gate’ had actually been closed for over two years! Something that we were counting on as we like to eat out but didn’t want to be driving around the dark single track roads in the evenings. There were no other pubs in walking distance so we ended up doing more shopping and cooking than we intended. The description and features of this property should be updated - we certainly would not have booked it knowing this was the case. The cottage is well furnished (if a bit eclectic) and the bathroom in particular was very indulgent with the roll top bath and excellent water pressure for the shower. The cottage was very cosy, well heated and always had hot water. The log burner was great although it would have been nice to have some logs on arrival for the first fire. Other than a few minor housekeeping and maintenance issues everything in the cottage was clean and fresh and we had a quick response from the owner with a query about refuse collection. Also note that there is zero phone signal although WiFi was excellent!

This is a well equipped and very comfortable cottage in a quiet village. There are no local amenities, but it is not far to get to good shops and lovely places to visit. The cottage was warm and cosy for an autumn stay, and I am sure it is good at any time of year.

Lovely cottage. Very clean and plenty of equipment throughout. Quiet area and good for access to a variety of places once you get used to some of the narrow lanes.
