The Grove at Notgrove is a wonderfully secluded holiday location, offering individually styled self catering accommodation in three inter-connecting properties - a unique set up in one of (if not THE) most beautiful locations within the Cotswolds. Situated within a 1500 acres country estate, these contemporary 'holiday cottages' are the very essense of what we think a large group should want. Ample space for getting together, oodles of things to do such as hire mountain bikes, walk for miles and miles or get a beautician in, alternatively do absolutely nothing except watch the TV, get a local chef and completely relax.
Constructed within an ecologically sound framework using local craftsmen with local materials along with modern technologies such as thermal panels this is not only very attractive it is environmentally - very 'friendly'. The Notgrove Estate really have got it right and we're confident you'll agree. The hamlet of Notgrove lies on the top of the Cotswolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book, the Notgrove Estate is now a family farm of around 1500 acres. Set in some spectacular countryside it includes 400 acres of unspoilt pasture mostly in steep sided dry valleys, interspersed with mixed woodland copses. There are around 30 Cotswold stone cottages in the quiet and picturesque village, which is typical of the area. There are many, many miles of walks to be enjoyed across the estate, maps are provided in the cottages, which allow you to take in some of the most breathtaking views.
The accommodation for The Grove is spread across three interconnecting units.
Each one is entirely self contained, but literally across a small walk way is the next property.
The flexibility of the accommodation makes it possible to either eat separately or altogether - you decide and simply advise the owners in advance of your arrival.Hazelnut and Cobnut (sleep 8 each)Each cottage has a large open living space to easily accommodate people comfortably.
A large table can be laid up for 22 (if required) in Hazelnut.There are two fully equipped kitchens.There are 8 bedrooms across these two barns, one each on the ground floor with an Ensuite Shower Room.
Upstairs in each barn there are a further three bedrooms with three bathroom/shower rooms.Chestnut Barn (sleeps 6)This barn is similarly spacious with an open plan living space including the third fully equipped kitchen, plus dining table.There is, also, a bedroom with Ensuite Shower Room downstairs, while upstairs there are two further bedrooms with two more bathrooms.In summary there are 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms with each bed able to be arranged as two singles or zipped together as a King size bed.
You choose!Outside Each barn has its own terrace garden area with table and chairs.
There is also a separate games room (shared with the 4th propertry - Walnut) which has a table tennis table, table football, and pool table too.
There are both individual and communal bar b qs (with covered seating area) for guests to use.Pets Welcome at a charge of £30 per dog.
