Guests say

Hulls House in Chipping Campden is highly praised for its stunning, spacious, and luxurious accommodation, set in a picturesque village. Guests appreciate the property's peaceful setting, proximity to local shops, parks, and attractions, and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and a welcome basket. The garden and historical significance add to the charm, though some minor maintenance issues and cleanliness oversights are noted.

The property generally meets expectations, but there are isolated reports of cleanliness issues in the kitchen and laundry room, including dirty bins, floor, and dishware. These instances seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The location is consistently lauded for its tranquillity, beauty, and convenience for walking into town and accessing local attractions. The proximity to a friendly inn and the ease of exploring the Cotswolds are particular highlights.

The house is well-furnished and cosy, with an Aga that guests find homely. However, some guests find the mattresses too hard, and the bathroom accessibility between two rooms is a bit awkward for some family configurations.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and spacious rooms. However, there are comments about broken soap dispensers, radiators being switched off, and a lack of garden seating which was later rectified. A suggestion for better lighting and the addition of a coffee machine indicates room for improvement.

Guests mention thoughtful gestures such as a welcome basket, fresh flowers, and a Christmas tree, which contribute to a festive and homely atmosphere. However, it should be noted that such personal touches, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed for every stay.

They went out of their way from the outset to make our Christmas holiday ever so special. They had provided a welcome basket of necessities and installed a magical Christmas tree ready for our presents to be placed underneath. The atmosphere was very festive, comfortable and homely. We’d loved to come back in the summer to have a lovely meal in the garden. The fabulous kitchen was a highlight which hosted many memorable family moments. The location was excellent!
