The location is convenient for so many interesting and lovely towns and villages and the pub/restaurant, almost opposite, is highly recommended for its food and warm welcome. The property itself is charming and very comfortable. Our query (very minor) about the heating was dealt with extremely promptly by the owner Peter and his father Colin, both of whom were a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

The cottage is the last in a row of three and is set in a very pretty little garden and is quiet and peaceful. Built in the last 20 years it was surprisingly dark inside necessitating having the lights on in the lounge during the day and the bedroom was very dark having only one very small window. The ensuite bathroom is laid out awkwardly with the hand basin very close to the bath. The shower on the upper floor is definitely not for the dimensionally challenged and was made more difficult to access as there was a high step to get in and out of the shower area. The cottage was well stocked with glassware, plates and cutlery but would have benefitted from some more oven proof dishes. The door of the top right hand oven on the range didnât appear to close properly so we didnât use it but that wasnât an issue as there were other ovens! Some instructions on use of appliances would have been helpful and at least some milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits as a welcome would have been appreciated. The cottage was pleasantly and comfortably furnished, very clean and an ideal location for walking and touring the Cotswolds. Mickleton is an attractive village and the local cake shop is excellent and well worth a visit. The staff at the Morrisons Local are friendly and welcoming and the store well stocked and has a cash point machine. Chipping Camden is on the doorstep with its independent shops and variety of restaurants and cafes. Overall we enjoyed our stay but with a few reservations as detailed.
