This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Nearby there are several beautiful, formal gardens for you to wander through. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. Well-resourced kitchen, decent shower and comfortable reception areas. Rear garden is lovely but beware of Holly berries if you have a greedy / stupid dog⦠Lovely (off-lead) dog walking opportunities on Dovers Hill and out behind the large church located roughly half a mile behind the cottage. Local area has great selection of pubs / restaurants and, although slightly limited, the local Co-op has pretty much anything you may need. Lovely cottage in a beautiful and relaxing location. Thank you.

The cottage itself was cosy and comfortable with a fireplace in the lounge area that provided the ideal atmosphere for my wife and I as we enjoyed the novelty of seeing snow in the town and being able to return to a warm and comfortable cottage. The bed was also very comfortable and overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this very nice cottage. The only criticism we had was the configuration of the bathroom and in particular the positioning of the toilet which is quite restrictive. However that did not at all spoil our time at Lanes Cottage.
