One Church Cottage is located in the peaceful and unspoilt village of Todenham, a linear village with a Grade I listed 14th century church and home to Todenham Manor Farm Shop, stocking local and sustainable produce.

Surrounded by breath-taking countryside, there are many walks and cycle routes on its doorstep to discover, and just a short drive away are the megalithic Rollright Stones, in Little Rollright, a prehistoric stone circle dating back over 5,000 years.

Todenham is conveniently located three miles away from the bustling market town of Moreton-in-Marsh, a thriving town which is one of the principal market towns in the northern Cotswolds, situated on the Fosse Way, where you will find many elegant inns, as well as tea shops and restaurants; here you can enjoy a wonderful breakfast at The Cotswold Tea Room, before heading over to Cotswold Falconry Centre to discover the range of falcons, eagles, owls and other birds of prey, and finish off your day with a tipple and meal at The Black Bear Inn.

Nearby Chipping Campden is one of the most recognisable market towns of the Cotswolds, where there are a number of antique shops, bookshops, including two antiquarian bookshops, a host of individual gift shops selling locally produced goods as well as Italian hand painted ceramics, glassware and an array of artisan food stores. You can enjoy a delicious breakfast at The Bantam Tea Rooms before heading over to Dover’s Hill to enjoy the stunning views over the Vale of Evesham.

For a holiday you will never forget, stay at One Church Cottage.

The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh lies on the Fosse Way Roman Road in the northern Cotswolds and boasts many elegant 18th century buildings, which are home to traditional inns, serving real ales and home-cooked food, tea rooms, restaurants and individual shops to suit all tastes. It also boasts it's own train station and lies on the intersection of the Paddington rail line from London. The town hosts the Moreton-In-Marsh Show, one of the UK's largest one-day agricultural shows, as well as the Moreton Beer Festival, an annual French Market, and a large outdoor market every Tuesday. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of the town, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close by. Less than five miles away is Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly farmers' market. Close by is Bourton-on-the-Water, which is known as the Venice of the Cotswolds as the River Windrush runs through the centre. It lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. Also within reach is the spa town of Cheltenham. This town boasts an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, and is famous for its horseracing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. Therefore the cottage was cold. The oven took 3 hours to heat up to allow us to cook our meal, hence we didn't start eating until 8pm. The log fire only had 2 half logs and a small amount of kindling, without any paper to start the fire. We therefore had to go into Moreton to obtain this. There was a bag of logs left outside the property on Saturday when we returned in the afternoon. The back of one of the wooden chairs was broken and came away when lifted - fortunately nobody had sat on it.. The chairs in the kitchen were very uncomfortable in general and the description on the website was not accurate in this regard. The rubbish bin in the kitchen had not been emptied when we arrived. Lack of workspace in kitchen made it difficult to prepare food. Why is there only 1 teaspoon in the property?

Convenient location and quiet. Unfortunately no internet throughout the stay despite maintenance attending on the second day. No TV at all on first day, second day downstairs TV worked but not upstairs.

Although this was fixed promptly (thanks) we were unable to use the shower on the first day which made for a rather uncomfortable day that day. Other than that the place was a lovely little 'old charm' cottage in a pleasant location.
