Repton Cottage is highly praised for its cleanliness, friendly hosts, and tranquil rural setting. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the property's suitability for both peaceful retreats and local explorations. Despite some concerns over maintenance and access, the overall experience is deemed cosy and welcoming, with many looking forward to returning.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as well-presented and very clean, contributing to a comfortable stay.
The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local walks and pubs, although the access road's condition and the pub's opening days are noted concerns.
The cottage is generally found to be cosy and comfortable, with some guests finding the sofas outdated and the stairs uneven, which slightly detracts from the comfort score.
Facilities are well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped. However, issues with the shower and log burner maintenance, as well as limited access to the garden, affect the score.
While guests mention the helpfulness of the housekeeper and the friendliness of the hosts, there are no specific references to gifts or special thoughtful touches that could be quantified in this category.

Let me start by saying anyone in a low car beware as you have to drive up an hgv bumpy road to get to the cottage this has big dips and pieces of rock sticking out. The cottage is a lovely looking cottage from the outside inside is very outdated old sagy sofas a tv that’s basic I was hoping to get Netflix but was not to be. a log fire that doesn’t work properly and they don’t supply enough logs I had to ask several times and on Christmas Day we ran out and no one answered the message I sent. The owners have dogs directly opposite the cottage which constantly bark and the bedroom is also opposite the owners property so was woken early hours by the dogs barking. The shower turns cold part wayThrough use. The stairs in the cottage are a death trap uneven and they sink in places. The local Boot pub expensive 80 pound for 2 adult meals and a child’s meal plus a service charge of 8 pound added to your bill. Photos of the cottage on cottages. Com are of tables and a grassy area this is of the barn which is behind the cottage we stayed in and there is no access to that area. Also no car charging point important if your car is fully electric.
