Within easy reach of the picturesque market town of Ashbourne with its many opportunities for shopping, dining and the annual arts festival, the property makes an ideal holiday base from which to explore the many attractions and activities of the Peak District. The stunning scenery of Dove Dale and the Manifold Valley makes perfect walking or cycling country and Carsington Water offers abundant water sports. For a fun family day out Alton Towers is only 11 miles distant. Shops 4 miles, pub 300 yards.

Cottage is in need of a good clean and a major update, including carpets, microwave and oven and the shower (which also leaked from the shower tray). No WiFi in 2026?? Immediately on entering it smelt very musty (disguised by air freshners). The microwave was rusty on the inside. The oven inside also looked very undesirable, though did work. No instructions at all for any appliance including the heating which are very old storage heaters. There was no sign of said DVD player and DVD's. To top it all, unsure why the owner would decide to cut the grass whilst people are in residence. The only positives about this cottage are the beds which are comfy and the view from the back windows is excellent.

Lovely quiet location with nice walks around for the dog. Shame the garden wasn't secure for the dog.

This was my second visit to Hall Farm Bungalow. The beds are very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The views from the garden are beautiful. There is one pub in the village which serves good food,there is no shop but Ashbourne is under 10 mins drive away which has everything you could need. Osmaston is another pretty village nearby and there is a lovely circular walk to it from the doorstep of the bungalow there is a lovely pub in Osmaston which serves decent food and beer.
