The hot water was not available all day so for washing up one needed to boil up ketles. The heating times came on too late and went off too late . The utensils and equipement in the kitchen were lacking , no large spoons for servings, scales not working, etc etc. the oven needed a good clean .There was a leaky roof in the consveratory. However the rooms were clean and tidy with a good TV. We would have expected someone to check early in our stay if all was Ok as we have experienced in other holiday lets. To us one of the best features of the property was the frequent bus service from the bus stop at the end of the drive not mentioned at all in the property details.

Very cosy on the cold nights. Brilliant base for visiting relatives and nearby towns in the Peaks. Good local dog walks too. Only thing that would have been handy was a ladle in the utensil drawer

Slightly old-fashioned in terms of some of the furniture but this adds rather than takes away. Pub over the road had live music on the Saturday but you could not really hear it inside the house. Great also for access to motorways etc and good dog walking territory!
