Some guests noted minor maintenance issues and cleanliness could be improved, while the garden is not fully secure for pets. Overall, visitors enjoyed their stay and would return, highlighting the property's charm and suitability for group get-togethers.

Most guests found the property clean and tidy, but several reviews mention areas needing better cleaning, such as cobwebs, dust, and leftover confetti. Some bathrooms and kitchenware were not up to expected standards. Cleanliness is generally acceptable but could be improved for a more consistent experience.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful surroundings, peaceful setting, and easy access to local walks, Ashbourne, Bakewell, and excellent pubs. Guests consistently highlight the setting as a major positive.

We had a wonderful stay in the Barn to celebrate Mother’s Day with extended family. The house was the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding countryside - the local pub The Cow was a real highlight too.The Barn is well appointed and has everything you need to host a large gathering - the coffee machine was certainly well used!We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the Barn to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the Derbyshire countryside.

Great barn. Perfect for a friendly get togeather, kitchen well stocked with plenty of cooking utensils and pans (bigger mugs needed) Rooms ok size however main shared bathroom leaked into the kitchen on the 1st day *not god!!! House has lots of damp patches through out feels like it was a bit of a rush job. Multiple areas not finished (missing lights, missing doorframe, missing paint) A few cobwebs here and there but generally quite clean

In desperate need of a good clean - upstairs bedroom smelt of cigarette smoke, cobwebs in the kitchen and living area, dust on the crockery and glasses and confetti from previous parties in the rugs and on the dining table. The hot tub wasn't on when we arrived so couldn't be used on the first night. Every room had recently filled holes in the walls that hadn't been sanded down and the whole place needs decorating. Really poor.
