Kedleston Hall and the spectacular scenery of Dove Dale are both within 6 miles, and Ashbourne’s shops, inns and activities are within 10 minutes’ drive. Cycling and walking on the Tissington Trail (4 miles). Alton Towers, 12 miles. Shop and pubs 2 miles.

Comfortable and very quiet The host, Tim was very helpful, but let you have your own space.Cottage fully equipped and homely.Walks from the door and a beautiful part of the Derbyshire dales.

We enjoyed a delightful retreat at The Garden House; the house was absolutely ample for our needs: homely inside and set in lovely grounds with a garden of our own to enjoy. Our two dogs simply adored it - always an important factor 😊. The surrounding countryside is outstandingly beautiful and we enjoyed days at several local National Trust properties and other attractions. Further to this our host was friendly and helpful when we arrived - and there if we needed him throughout. My only mark down on equipment is where a couple of details in kitchen and bedroom could be even better.
