This charming holiday cottage sits alongside Cromford Mill Pond and the centre of this historic village. From inside or out you can relax and watch the wild fowl cruise the pond. The pond was used to feed the Arkwright Mill and the wheel is still turning. An ideal location with excellent walks nearby leading to Black Rocks, High Peak Trail, Cromford Mills and canal. Carsington Water with watersports and birdwatching is within easy reach. Matlock Bath only 1 mile and Abraham Heights and Gullivers Kingdom. Matlock for antiques and shops is 2 miles. Visit the old market town of Bakewell and sample the famous Bakewell pudding in one of the many tea rooms. Just a few miles from here is Chatsworth House and medieval Haddon Hall. Shop and pub 50 yards, restaurant 100 yards.

A warm,comfortable cottage with wonderful views of the Mill Pond. We came by public transport and were pleased to find a bus stop nearby and frequent buses to towns and villages all over the Peak District. Lovely local walks along the canal and a short walk to Arkwright Mill. A very enjoyable visit.

Spotlessly clean cottage full of everything we could wish for. Cottage near main roads which is not suggested in the listing. Sadly a lit of shops/cafes in Cromford no longer open.

Wonderful little cottage in a great location close to the amenities and lovely pub. Great base to explore the area. Warm, cosy and comfortable with everything you need. A real home from home cottage to come back to after a day out. Great communication and information from the owner. Highly recommend and if in the area would stay here again.
