Beautiful cottage in a secluded location on the Revesby Estate. Fully equipped (no dishwasher). Good base to explore Lincolnshire. Excellent Italian restaurant in Horncastle. Battle of Britain Memorial flight in nearby Coningsby is well worth a visit as is the cathedral in Lincoln (beware, Steep Hill is exactly that). Plenty of nice beaches to be found and the kids loved the rides and experiences in Skegness and Ingoldmells. Generally dog friendly (except the Battle of Britain Memorial flight which is understandable as it is an active RAF base and Lincoln Castle which was disappointing since the cathedral welcomed the dog, gave her a fuss and a biscuit!). We would recommend Lincolnshire as a destination to visit and Bankside Cottage as the place to stay.

Location was great and the cottage was really clean. However, it could've done with some fans to keep the place cooler overnight, the shower could only be one height (low) as the shower positioning handle was broken and half way through the week the pipes under the bath leaked into the kitchen. That said, these are all solvable things and wouldn't stopped me going back as the location was stunning...never seen a muntjac deer before, there are lots in the woods around the cottage.

The location was peaceful, private and picturesque. We only saw 2 other people on the grounds the whole time we where there. There is a nice walk around the lake but no access to the larger estate grounds. The cottage is well presented and spacious. The rear of the property was a little overgrown which let it down slightly.
