The cottage itself was fine, but the listing description is misleading. It states that the beach is one mile away, but the nearest stretch is only marshland and not suitable for swimming or a traditional seaside visit. The nearest proper sandy beaches are at least a 30-minute drive away. There is also very little in the way of entertainment or facilities nearby, so guests should be prepared for a very quiet stay. I think the property description should be clearer so visitors know what to expect.

The cottage was very clean and tidy. There was an issue caused by the previous guests but we told the hosts and it was dealt with quickly. The kitchen equipment and rooms are quite sparsely equipped but what’s there is just enough, clean and comfortable. We know the area so we’re prepared to drive to places for things to do and facilities.
